Description
***THIS PAINTING SOLD 2016***
Unfolding leaves of this plant in the spring highlight the ground around it. Persicaria virginiana Painters Palette is a plant with jewel-like leaves that seem to shine with color in variations of green, gold, yellow, cream and crimson. The title is appropriate since each leaf is spotted and speckled with hints of these colors.

I have to show my wife these wonderful plants that you paint Randy... she is going to love them. They have all got such great character to them. I love the dark backdrop for this one... very cool.
Rand Burns replied:
Thank you John. I hope your wife enjoys these botanical paintings. Recently I have begun using dark backgrounds, which highlights the plant and adds mystery. There is actually no black. I always make my own, which gives more depth. Glad you like this one.
