Sasa Vetchii is a favorite bamboo variety of mine. It's beauty during the gray days of winter lies in its leaf edges, which a re lined with a cream and gold band of color. Recently, I have been back to botanical work using water color and color pencil in high detail. Their images cast a light shadow on a wall and highlights them much as one sees a lone actor on a stage.
