Rand, I'm looking at your tags for this image and can't help but wonder what "loss" and "grief" prompted you to create this beautiful painting. Love the textures and colors in this heartfelt design! LF
Rand Burns replied:
It is a combination of losing my entire family except for my Mother. The losses have been devastating. I have ever gotten over any of them. Thank you for your kind comment Marian.

Today, My eye turns to your Series on “Hands”, probably the most difficult of themes to successfully render, yet you do so with such subtlety and Expressiveness! Truly an inspired series!...BRAVO Randy!..LF I love how you reach into the large emotions of anguish, sadness, pain, grief... to Colour healing. Graced moment of sheer....GENIUS!

Not to be morose, but I see sadness here Randy. Or maybe happiness in expectation. Going or coming defined by each. Nice work.
Rand Burns replied:
Yes, you are right Skip. There is much sadness with hints of expectation. Thank you for seeing what I hoped would be seen.

Rainbow Artist Orlando L
Yet another very deep and very emotive painting!! sensational composition and concept for this art!! we all missed somebody that is no longer with us from time to time. and this idea of reaching the hand to the heavenly sky and having the reflection of the hand reaching back to the person is very touching for me to see, almost bring tears to my eyes!! sometimes an imaginary reunion is good enough to keep the person going forward on his own journey, until it is time for him to truly reunion with the lost loved ones. you did a wonderful job in expressing this complicated feeling and emotions into one painting!! well done Randol!! L/F
Rand Burns replied:
Orlando, thank you for your insight into this work as well. You have a very keen sense of things beyond and what a person attempts to provide as clues with their work. I often see even more just after reading you statements. Thank you and thank you for the L/F.
