Randy, this was the painting I mentioned I wanted to come back to. Yesterday, I was feeling very tired and not in the right mood for this one. But today, I can view it clearly. I find this work exceptionally beautiful with a melancholy and power that almost makes me cry.But it is so full of hope too. The journey seems to start off as a huge struggle in the dark, but as I follow the light,in this gently illuminated night scene,it seems to picture how everything comes together eventually, and I'm never on my own. This is such a sensitive and spiritual work.Thankyou so much for sharing this with us. v/f
Rand Burns replied:
Jane, you have given me new insight into my own work. I was wondering which you would return to look at. Your in depth description is so true. I actually viewed this moon that morning about 4 a.m. and remembered what I saw well enough to get this painting out. Thank you so much Jane and for the v/f!

Thank you so much for your comment! I really do love your work as well and that Cactus Sunset-2 is amazing. Glad you enjoyed The Moon with Three Crosses and read into it what naturally came from the painting by the time I had finished it.
Jephyr Art
Hi Randy! I agree with Allen about that symbology. Love the colors and composition...the path that leads you into the painting...and the reflections off the water. Well done!
Rand Burns replied:
Thank you so much Jephyr!
