I was drawn to this wonderful sky painting today. I thought it was pastel with that soft blending in the clouds. I love the range of turquoise blues and the minty green trees just catching the light. So very spacious and peaceful. v/f
Rand Burns replied:
Jane, your comments are always worded so beautifully. Thank you so much. Often, I find the color turquoise to be soothing and enjoy using it in landscape paintings time to time. I painted the sky in with relatively thick paint then used a wide house painting brush to lightly blend the clouds and give a hazy atmosphere to the sky while leaving the trees untouched. Thank you for the v/f also. Made my day.
