Looks like the yellow brick road leading up to the witch's castle, Randy! Were you thinking of "Oz" when painting this fun scene? The castle seems to be made of several sharpened pencils of differing lengths...hmmmm, my weird mind!? Beautiful clouds to match this beautiful scene! Love it! L/F
Rand Burns replied:
Marian, I am glad you relate this to the wonderful world of Oz and love your mentioning the sharpened pencils as someone else mentioned crayons. I never thought of this until these things were told to me. You have a creative mind. So glad you enjoyed the clouds and scene and thanking you for the comment and F/L here.

Wonderful work Randy, I see a number of your favorite things here....the clouds of course, but the space ship illusions in the land castle. Your mind runneth over lol.
Rand Burns replied:
Lol. I am glad you think so. Yes, I love castles and clouds. Thank you my friend for your comment.

How fun is this amazing piece! It brings to mind original color films and how they looked. It's just beautiful. I love the imagination, the gorgeous sky and the fun castle. f/l
Rand Burns replied:
Holly, thank you for your comment. Glad this work brought to mind the original color films, like Oz when it became in color. Thank you for the f/l.

Love the colors you chose for the flora and how you mimicked the castle with that conifer. The castle itself reminds me of two things...a rocket to dreamworld, and crayons with which to color the dreams. l/f
Rand Burns replied:
Yes, you see the conifer mimicking the castle. And you also see the rocket-like castle with those (and I love this) "crayons with which to color the dreams." Thank you for the comment and the l/f.
