Randy, at first glance I thought these were oddly shaped red potatoes, of which I have seen many! OK, now, I do see that they are tomatoes! Fun image! Love the sheen you have put on them! L/F

Rand Burns replied:

Marian, thank you for your comment on these odd tomatoes from my late grandaddy's garden. They were huge and looked just like this. Glad you decided they weren't potatoes. Ha. Thank you for the F/L.

This really made me chuckle, the tomatoes are just coming in and I am thinking now of all the funny ones I have seen over the years. They are always the best ones as they taste good and I get the added entertainment. What a great and comical work. I have never seen another oil painter paint imperfect ones. Usually artists try to make them perfect and this just shows what wonderful freedom with mind and brush you have acquired through practice. So fun F/L

Rand Burns replied:

Nancy, thank you for your comment on these deformed tomatoes. I loved reading it. My grandaddy grew the biggest, most strangely shaped tomatoes I had ever seen just like this image. I appreciate the F/L here.
