Description
Slightly leaning, a branch in the shape of a cross provides structure for a morning glory to share its blue, trumpet shaped flowers with us. A heavenly sky surrounds the scene, as we reflect on the temporal, the spiritual and the beauty of these flowers. Albeit short lived, they share their beauty for the moment. This work does not include hanger.

Great title for this very spiritual piece of art, Randy! My first thought when looking at this was that the markings on the flowers reminded me of the thorny crown on Jesus' head. Wondered if you painted this around Easter? Beautifully painted! L/F
Rand Burns replied:
Marian, thank you for your comment on 'Heavenly Blue' and come to think of it I do believe I painted this oil around Easter. Thank you for the F/L here my friend.

morning glory & cross... they only bloom (open their flowers) in the morning, dying already afternoon... everyday... very symbolic indeed

Roland, thank you for stopping by. Ahhh, love your interpretation of the symbolism here.
Susan Esbensen
Out of sadness there is always a new beginning Randy! This painting is symbolic! The 3 morning glories reaching up to the heavens as they cling to a cross made from a tree branch is powerful!
Rand Burns replied:
Susan, thank you. It is a joy reading the connection this has for you. I appreciate your taking the time writing from your heart.
