Color color everywhere, that is how I see it there...this is so beautiful and churns of such colorful memories for me of much I learned of Mexico over the years. I still have clothes and crafts and art my partner and his family brought for me, some made my indigenous peoples. It is all so alluring and awakening, my friend could never understand the drab house colors of New England (lol) Family and friend connections are also stronger there from what I have experiences..passion, love and a viality I had never experienced before. Viva Mexico y Viva la vida.
Rand Burns replied:
Nancy, I love reading your words about Mexico and that your partner shared his love for it with you. The same colorful houses and buildings here do not fit like in Mexico. I really juice up the colors when painting it. Memories are, as you say, alive and can only be depicted that way on canvas. Viva Mexico y viva la vida is right.
Marian Bell
So many of your works have a religious, spiritual connection, Randy. Though not obviously stated here, I notice the cross on the church in the middle on the left side, with the mountains rising up to the skies in the background.Making a connection to the Almighty One in its own way; silently stated, just as He does many times. Lovely street scene with all the colorful flowers and buildings. Excellently done! L/F
Rand Burns replied:
Marian, I am happy hearing you notice the spiritual side of my work and noticed also the little cross in the distance. Thank you for exploring and commenting on each piece with love and care. Also thank you always for the L/F.

Me too Randy, remember you still find it in small towns in the state of Colima, my hometown....your painting is beautiful, you are making me homesick of when even the capital Colima ( the same name as the state) was as peaceful as your little town...Love it dear amigo :-). F/L.
Rand Burns replied:
Clotilde, thank you always! I will absolutely research the state of Colima. I am so happy this brought back feelings of your hometown. Thank you so much for the F! I miss Mexico.
