I have been absent of late, and have missed much. This is one of the treasures that I missed Randy. What an amazing painting this is. I cannot pick what I like the most about it... the colors... the brushstrokes... the composition itself. Damn dude, this has got it all. The thoughts behind the creation are what make this so much more special though. Brilliant work. As always, I truly enjoy visiting.
Rand Burns replied:
John, glad you are back and thank you for stopping by my gallery. Yes, I understand about being busy with getting work exhibited. The best of luck to you. You deserve it and have a very innovative gallery, which I always enjoy viewing. Keep me posted on your success.

Randy, what a beautiful "dedication" and I'm sure wherever Daddy is now, he has an awareness of this touching and sensitive work. What I instantly love about this is the richness of the warm orange tones which are so reminiscent of so much of your work. Then I love the clouds and magnitude of sky. Then I take in the lovely trees and flowers, particuarly the stark shaped tree (that looks like it was struck by lightening, yet now even more majestic and powerful by contrast! ) that is being pointed out.Aliveness and the adventure of death, one beautiful cycle of wholeness. Finally I'm left with those enigmatic figures, almost dream like,a wonderfully eternal moment...So very meaningfully done in ALL ways. L/F
Rand Burns replied:
Jane, your enlightening perception-even to me, the painter, is astonishing. You are able to read exact the exact meanings and feelings in my work. What a joy this is to hear. I needed this message of artistic vision from a painter like yourself. I know we see things much alike. Your work evokes all of these same qualities. Thank you Jane.
Rand Burns replied:
Jane, I will add that Daddy loved barren trees like this in the middle of such beautiful places. I know he is aware-just as your comment says. Thank you.
