This made me smile...I think of being in the "zone" when painting....there is not time, no time to think of inconsequential concerns like how many brushes we are holding in hands, the lap or mouth. Oblivious to spattering paint...just in the "time warp zone" where we are no more and the Muse carries us on an exhilerating meditative ride through the painting. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.....lift off....the beams of light coming through the windows appropriate.... Cool self portrait Randy F/L!!!
Rand Burns replied:
Nancy, you do know 'the zone' when painting. It is the place to be on the right side of the brain as often as possible. Glad you enjoyed this self portrait and the light beaming in. You read it all. Thank you for your comment and for the F/L.
Marian Bell
What a wonderful self portrait, Randy! I especially like the addition of the paintbrushes to show your interest in painting. Holding one in your mouth like that just intensifies the effect! l/f
