Four wildflowers are highlighted in this peaceful and serene landscape. The red cardinal flower-lobelia cardinals (lobelia cardinalis), the black-eyed Susan and thistle surround the prominent white Hymenocalis occidentals. A stream leads us farther into the distant clouds view beyond.

I love this painting that honors the beautiful but often forgotten wildflowers Randy!! as usual, the composition and perspective is wonderful and sublime. for me, i see a beginning of a well promised journey here, symbolized by the stream that leads to the open land of unknown. and the wildflowers represent blessing, passion, motivation and joy that will come along with the traveler in this enchanting journey. superb artwork my friend!! Randy, you use your magnificent, creative talents to share, many times, with us nature's beauty, and to allude to a different point of view concerning the world around us! In your own special way you preserve parts of nature that we are losing, as with the lobelia cardinals and other beautiful flowers depicted here. I thank God for giving you those talents you continue to share with us, as in this glorious image! L/F
Rand Burns replied:
Marian, I am honored and thankful for your comment and support always. You see in my work what I hoped to share. All the best of God's blessing to you. I try so hard to be an artist. I appreciate the F/L.

I do not get tired of looking at your work. Each one surprises me and catches me because they are not more of the same. The flowers I have seen millions of times, but this time I have seen the flowers that another person can dream. Thank you for your art and for showing that it is possible to do things that do not resemble anything known.
Rand Burns replied:
Joaquin, your comment opens my eyes to my own work, as you see it with your soul and what many do not feel. I appreciate your sharing this with me.
