Land of Totems

Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
Mysterious, bright and colorful, totem poles stand as sentinels in often barren places. So much work went into their creation, which also adds to their mystery and uniqueness. Here they are set against a desert sky, one is broken and lays on the ground, for close inspection, with the base near it where it once stood in glory.

This painting is both magnificent and haunting Randy. You are such a great story teller with your art. There must be many stories and symbolism carved with so much care on these beautifully colored totems. There they stand disappearing into the distance with their stark shadows and sense of poignancy of times past, so perfectly portrayed by the fallen one.Your, as always, majestic sky sets off this historic landscape to perfection. Another very creative and inspired work! L/F
