*** Congratulations, your work is featured on the homepage of "Created by Southern Artists”. Thank you David Neace. ***
A passing funnel cloud is highlighted by the beauty of blue sky and fluffy, summer clouds. The wildflowers courageously shine in the stillness around them. The wildflowers displaying tall white spikes of flowers is called 'moth mullein'. This scene is a combination of places in my mind. I prefer painting from memory than using photographs as a starting point.

Rainbow Artist Orlando L
What a fitting title to go with this mesmerizing and beautiful painting Randy!! i really love the splendid scenery and floral in this art. as i walk on the path, i smell the most delightful fragrance in the air, reminding me the grace of Creation and the value of being in the present moment. soon i was confronted by a gushing tornado but oddly i was not afraid. the spiritual colours in the sky and the peace of the environment made me believe i am watching the departure of this dramatic event, and that the landscape will be fully protected by divine forces. i truly enjoyed this little hike inside your work dear friend. you always managed to take my mind off reality into a heavenly state. God bless you always for that!! L/F/FB
Rand Burns replied:
Orlando, I am glad this work took you away for just a bit. Thank you for stopping by and comment on the painting and also for the F/L/FB. God bless you too my friend.

Marian Bell
Love the magnificent landscape scenery, Randy, but could do without that ominous beast in the background! Had one destroy my garage on Christmas day 2012. Fortunately, I was not home, but at my sister's about 20 minutes away. Horrifying sight to come home to see, though. Have a couple of photos in my shop of that damage.... Have read some of the other comments and replies...so glad you made it through that horrifying experience and are still here to share these glorious paintings! God hasn't finished guiding your hand in painting your stories! L/F (in spite of the tornado)
Rand Burns replied:
I am sorry hearing about your event with a tornado Marian. They are ominous for sure. Thank you for saying God has not finished guiding my hand in painting my stories Marian. What a beautiful thing to say. I appreciate your reading the description and thank you also for the F/L.
Nancy Griswold
Beautiful landscape, I love reading your descriptions, they are stories so important to be told about your thoughts, I can feel the movement of the funnel cloud, you are an amazing painter F/L
Rand Burns replied:
Nancy, thank you so much. Tornadoes are common thing here. Almost lost my life in one as the funnel passed while in a ditch. The floating windows, tin and other items was something else. I appreciate your comment on this scene and the F/L.
Darin Williams
Beautiful work, as always, Randy! The landscape is lovely, as well, and I find myself hoping the tornado passes without touching it! l/f/p/t
Rand Burns replied:

Love the contrasts in this very beautiful painting that depicts light and shadows against beauty and the darkness of the coming storm that can change everything... Amazing details and deeper meanings that touch my heart, Randy! L/F
Rand Burns replied:
Hazel, thank you for letting me know this dark to light landscape touched your heart. I appreciate your letting me know. I know tornadoes all too well. Thank you also for the L/F.

What a great contrast Randy. Lovely painting but yet a destructive force within. Wow.
